Many of our guests enjoy the off- season here in the Berkshires. Some who travel here for the first time are pleased to find all that is needed ~ a little R & R, a cozy place to sit in front of the fire, the luxury of sleeping in, an indulgent breakfast, even a pleasant little stroll to one of the fine restaurants in our lovely, historic town.
Sweet young couples leaving their little ones for some quality time alone, usually traveling from within an hour, often choose a one night stay to experience this affordable little get-away. They leave re- energized and nurtured, often just as eager to get home as they were to get away!
Others in need of a short escape from city life, find our location, a short 2 – 2-1/2 hour drive, an ideal location for a weekend away.
Some folks book every minute with activities, others wait until resting a bit before making plans. Several visit friends or family in the area but need their own space.
Recent reservations are Appalachian trail hikers, stopping in lee for supplies, hot food and a comfy bed.
My guests often inspire me because of the itinerary they set up for themselves. Time and time again we find ourselves doing exactly what our guests have just done because of their enthusiasm. Things we frequently take for granted because they are right in our “backyard.”
We would love to WELCOME you to Crabtree Cottage, as your home away from home, as you explore the Berkshires and all of its offerings. Lee is central to all Berkshire Attractions.
Here are some of the off season places my most recent guests and I have been visiting:
